Weight until dawn

Okay, quick post. You know how they say you should weigh your self only once a week and all that jazz. I haven’t been doing that and I’m so stinkin’ glad. Here’s the thing: When I way myself two times or more a day, I see how my food and eating habits effects (or is it affects? I can never remember how that goes). I’ve learned that I generally have a gain and loss of about 2 pounds. And when I get a good night sleep that goes down even more. Know what I’ve noticed. All those stinkin things that the doctors are saying are true. There is no real shortcut to losing weight and getting healthier. It’s basic grunt work and self control. It’s basic things that we need to do.

This got me to thinking about a passage about the fruit of the Spirit (notice it just says fruit, not fruits…pet peeve of mine, sorry).

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23

For physical health, you really gotta look at that patience and self control. For emotional health you really gotta look at that joy, peace, gentleness. And for spiritual health, you gotta look at ’em all.

This is Spiritual Musclehead you know. As you work towards health, keep this in mind.

Never give up! Keep striving towards the goal. Fight the good fight and finish the race!
